Damariscotta Fireworks

From Norris Point, a spectacular firework display takes place that can be seen from Damariscotta and our very own backyard at Newcastle Inn. When staying with us, enjoy the perfect Fourth of July. Attend the Round Pond Parade, stick your toes in the sand at the beach, take a leisurely hike, and join us back at Newcastle Inn for the firework show. Fireworks start around 9:00 P.M.

Round Pond Parade

For a new twist on the classic Fourth of July parade head out to the Round Pond Parade. Here spectators are greeted with lively floats that are colorful and where people are not afraid to speak their minds. This parade is famous for the Tacky Tourists and a certain amount of silly political incorrectness. The parade starts at noon every year on Fourth of July, rain or shine.

Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise in Damariscotta

Book at Fourth of July river cruise with Damariscotta River Cruises and enjoy fireworks off-shore. Admire a spectacular firework show over the water while sipping on a glass of wine and eating the finest local oysters. This is one of the best ways to experience what Coastal Maine is all about.

Thomaston 4th of July celebration

The old quaint town of Thomaston will be hosting their Fourth of July festivities, as they have for the past 100 years. You will feel like you have stepped back in time with an old-fashioned parade, firetrucks, and floats. There will be games, musical entertainment, BBQ, and so much more. And of course, in the evening they will hold their annual firework display that is worth sticking around for.

Bath’s Independence Day Parade

Bath hosts its Independence Day Parade every year during their Bath Heritage Days festival. So, it is a great time to enjoy local food and beverage vendors, live entertainment, and so much more. With the parade running directly downtown, it might be hard to find a spot on the sidewalk. So, head to the end at the Patten Free Library, where you can find a grassy, shaded spot to view the parade. Do note this is a very crowded event and brings many spectators looking to get the best spot for the parade.
