Newcastle Inn is an ideal destination if you are interested in Coastal Maine vacations.

We want your time at our Maine Coast bed and breakfast to be unforgettable. Our rooms are designed with your comfort and needs in mind. We know that for many of our guests, a vacation wouldn’t be complete without their favorite four-legged companion. For this reason, we offer two rooms that are dog friendly, making us a unique alternative to conventional dog friendly Maine hotels.

DEPOSITS  A deposit of one night stay is required for reservations of one or two nights. For stays of three or more nights, a deposit of 50% is required to hold your reservation. MasterCard, Visa, and American Express are accepted. The deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time the reservation is made. All rates are for two people. Maine State tax of 7% will be added to each stay.

CANCELLATIONS A small inn such as ours is dearly affected by cancellations, and while we are sympathetic to emergencies, we appreciate your understanding of our cancellation policy. We will cancel your reservation, and your deposit will be refunded, less a $25 handling charge, if notified 14 days in advance. A 21 day notice of cancellation is required for reservations from August 1 - 31.

If you cancel with less than the required notice defined above, you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation unless the room is re-rented for the exact same dates as your reservation. Please note that a late arrival - after the first date specified - or an early departure prior to the end of your reservation is handled as a cancellation, and you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation, unless changes are made to your reservation as defined above.

CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT Check-in time is between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please call if you will be arriving after 8 p.m. so late arrival arrangements can be made. In order to prepare for the arrival of new guests, check-out is 11 a.m.

CHILDREN  Newcastle Inn is best suited for children 14 and older. All guest rooms sleep two people. Rollaway cots, air mattresses are not provided or permitted in guest rooms. If children are under the age of 14 then they must share a room with an adult.

MINIMUM STAY There is a two night minimum stay on weekends from June through October and during holiday periods. If a minimum stay is required you will be notified when making your reservation.

SMOKING Newcastle Inn is entirely non-smoking. We thank you for adhering to the no-smoking policy. Additional charges, to cover cleaning costs, will be applied to your bill if you smoke in your room.

DOG VISITORS Newcastle Inn has two rooms that are dog friendly. Please call to see if there is availability for your dog to stay with you. There is a charge of $35.00 per day for your dog (only one dog in a room.) Dogs are only permitted in the guest room and outside. Dogs left in the guest room must be in a crate - no exceptions.  In consideration of other guests, please do not bring your dog into the inn.
