Newcastle Inn Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of MidCoast Maine in the Damariscotta Region of the Pemaquid Peninsula. This historic country inn provides elegant and comfortable surroundings with wonderful views of the Damariscotta River. The common areas (living room, screened porch, sitting room, pub, and deck) of the inn provide a variety of areas to sit and relax while visiting with other guests, or you can find your own quiet corner to enjoy just by yourself. There is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the Inn and a guest pantry with complimentary beverages, snacks, and a bottomless cookie jar. And of course - a delicious, full breakfast is served each morning – outside on the deck in the summer!
The guest rooms all have private baths (two with Jacuzzis), a king or a queen bed with one room having two twin beds. All guest rooms have a window air conditioner or a through-the-wall unit. Some guest rooms have TV and a gas fireplace or gas stove. Two rooms are dog friendly, and your pet receives their own special goody bag upon arrival!
Our Midcoast Maine bed and breakfast is a perfect "home base" for exploring nearby Boothbay Harbor, Monhegan Island, Freeport, Portland, Rockland, and Camden which are all less than an hour away. While close to these tourist areas, Newcastle, Maine provides a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of these busier areas while at the same time offering you historic charm, a variety of restaurants, and unique shopping and activities. At the end of a busy day, return to the quiet and tranquility of Newcastle Inn.
Happy Memorial Day!
Even though the calendar says that Summer doesn't start for another few weeks, I think that for many people Memorial Day is the unofficial start of Summer and I agree. The beautiful sunny weather we have been having certainly makes one think of Summer.
Thank you to everyone who donated so generously during the "Hospitality for Habitat" special that just finished.
The month of June is a beautiful time to visit the Newcastle/Damariscotta region. So, hop in your car and head to Newcastle Inn for a visit.
Until next time...
