They will provide you with a fun, safe, and if you want, challenging sea kayak adventure.  Hardy Boat Cruises offers a variety of cruises including the popular Puffin Watch, Lighthouse Cruise as well as ferry rides to Monhegan Island.  No trip to Newcastle would be complete without at trip to the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, the most photographed lighthouse in Maine.

The Newcastle Damariscotta area offers opportunities for cultural enrichment via the performing arts and the many art galleries and artist studios.  The Daponte String Quartet calls Maine home and gives several performances each year at the historic St. Patrick's Church in Newcastle.  A short drive will take you to the Saltwater Artists Gallery located on the Pemaquid peninsula.  There are many individual artist studios scattered around the area that welcome you to see their work.
