Enjoy Our Bed and Breakfast on the Maine Coast

With 14 rooms to choose from, you are sure to find the accommodations that you are looking for at the Newcastle Inn.

All guest rooms at our lodging have private baths with either a shower or tub and shower combination. Each guest room has fluffy bathrobes, a hair dryer, luxurious bath amenities, and beds are triple sheeted with high-quality bed linens that are crisply pressed. There is Wi-Fi access throughout the inn, and some rooms have a TV. Eight rooms have either a gas stove or gas fireplace, which are used from October through May. Two of the rooms are pet friendly.

The original inn has seven rooms located on the second and third floors. Many years ago, the former Carriage House was attached to the inn, and there are six guest rooms in this building: two on the first floor, three on the second floor, and one room has a private outside entrance. The 14th room, the Bass Harbor Suite, is located just steps across the parking lot, in a separate building. For your comfort, on those rare occasions when you might need it, all rooms have a window air conditioner.

In addition to your individual guest room, you will also enjoy the variety of common spaces located throughout the Inn. The screened porch offers wonderful views of the gardens and the Damariscotta River. The living room, with a beautiful stenciled floor, is the perfect place to get comfortable with a good book or to plan out your next day’s adventures. The cozy sitting room has a TV and a gas fireplace. The pub, just for guests, has a selection of beer and wine available for purchase. During the warmer months, the favorite place of many guests is to sit on the back deck taking in the views while listening to the loon calls and perhaps watching a heron fishing for dinner.
